Clann is a dedicated age-friendly housing body committed to providing quality housing and services that enable people to create homes and thriving communities. The Irish word for family or a group of people with a common interest, our name was chosen by our residents.
Clann is actively seeking sites and schemes to continue to provide high-quality, long-term housing for older people across Ireland.
Clann as part of Clúid Housing, has the ability, capacity and know-how to build, buy, lease, manage and refurbish schemes of all sizes.

Our ambition is to expand and improve housing options for people over the age of 55. That means supporting people to remain living independently for as long as possible and providing more age-friendly homes for people who are inappropriately housed. We believe the time to start planning ahead is now and we are actively seeking partnerships to deliver more age-friendly housing.
Our ambitious growth strategy will deliver new age-friendly homes into management before the end of our corporate strategy Securing the Future, 2023 to 2025. We know that collaboration is key to achieving our goals and targets for the future.
We have already established relationships with the Department of Housing, Planning & Local Government, local authorities, developers, the Housing Finance Agency and other age-friendly service providers. In order to meet the housing demands of Ireland’s ageing population and our own ambitious growth targets, we now need to establish new partnerships with even more people committed to delivering good quality housing and services.
Ireland’s population is getting older. Statistics show that in just over 10 years’ time, over 20% of our population will be aged over 65. With our partners, we are committed to meeting this demand and delivering age-friendly housing in towns and cities across Ireland.
