Each year, Clann holds a national competition to recognise and celebrate the efforts that you and your neighbours put into making your communities great places to live!
Last year we had a record number of entries and we’d like to wish a big congratulations to all those who won awards or were runners up:
Oriel Lodge – winner of Best Neighbourhood
Holy Cross Gardens/Oakwood – runner up of Best Neighbourhood
Ard Carrig – runner up of Best Neighbourhood
St Joseph’s Court – winner of Best Community Project
Mill Court – runner up of Best Community Project
Mary Bane – St Jarlath’s Court – winner of Community Neighbour award
Joseph O’Brien – St Joseph’s Court – winner of Community Neighbour award
Mike O’Sullivan – Holy Cross Gardens – winner of Community Neighbour award
If you or someone you know is committed to making your community a better place then we want to hear from you.
There are three categories:
Best Neighbourhood: This award recognises the scheme with the strongest community spirit. Have there been any social events or activities in your area? What makes your area a great place to live?
Best Community Project: This award recognises the community projects that have made a difference in your scheme. Are there any groups, community gardens or neighbours’ day events that made a big difference to your neighbourhood lately?
Community Neighbour Award: Is there anyone who really makes a difference in your community? Someone who helps out or organises activities? What makes them a great neighbour?
It’s easy and free for you to enter the Great Place to Live Competition. Applications for entry will open in July or you can find out more from:
