Sarah Byrne
Tell me about yourself! The question we all hate to answer but as ironic as it is we love listening to everyone else’s answer. So here are my five minutes of fame. My name is Sarah Byrne. I am a new Scheme Manager in Clann. I studied housing in DIT for 3 years. Upon completion of my course, I continued to work in a management position in retail. While out on maternity leave, with my 9-month-old Cali, I saw the job advertised in Clann and thought it would be no harm in applying. Here I am, 2 months later, annoying everyone asking the same question multiple times but enjoying every minute of it! I will be managing Sallymills, Rathmichael and Ushers Glen.
Orla Murphy
Hi, my name is Orla Murphy. I am a new scheme manager in Clann Housing and currently manage Willowview Apartments and will soon manage The Weir in Tallaght. Before joining Clann, my background was in sales, where I dealt specifically in IT sales for fifteen years. It was time for a new challenge and my education in Psychology and volunteering with various support groups throughout the years led me into housing and Clann.
Vik Raggoo
Hi, I’m Vik. I joined Clann Housing as a Scheme Manager in May 2023. I moved across from the Contact Center in Clúid where I was a team member for almost seven years. I am now Scheme Manager for Broome Lodge, Ladyswell and soon to be Maplewood and Fernwood.
I have settled in well to my role here in Clann. I feel that the residents have so much respect for me on the schemes and can see that I am actively seeking resolutions to their issues. Thanks to them, I have achieved so much success since joining the team. One of the biggest moments for me was introducing the Minister for Housing, Darragh O’Brien, to our wonderful residents in Broome Lodge to launch ACORN Age Friendly Tablets. Since then, I have organised classes for residents in the use of these. I have formed strong bonds with not only the team but the wider community, especially Northwest Partnership, who are regular visitors to the scheme in Broome Lodge.
Jonathan Sheehan
I am John, originally from Co. Offaly but moved to Co. Dublin a few years ago. I have worked in healthcare all my professional life, so this marks a different direction for me, and I am looking forward to the change. I am the Scheme Manager for Marewood Court, Killarney Court and Sandford Lodge (Bethany House). I also took over the running of the Community Centre attached to Killarney Court. In my brief time here, everyone has been so nice, and I am enjoying the fast-paced nature of the position and getting to know everyone.
Thomas Thornton
My name is Thomas Thornton. I’ve been employed with Clann since October 3rd, 2023. My background was in Social Care – I’ve worked in Social Care for nine years. My previous job was at Oberstown Detention Centre. Since taking on this new challenge, I’m learning a lot about the role of Scheme Manager. I am the Scheme Manager for the new Donore Road Apartments, Great Northern Haven and Maydenhayes Lawn. I have met a lot of residents, and my interactions have been positive. This has been a big change for me in my career, but it is exciting and I’m enjoying the new challenges. I’m looking forward to my future in Clann as it is a close-knit company and growing every year.
Patrick McManmon
My name is Patrick. I started work in Clann Housing on 3rd October 2023. My background is in social care, and I previously worked for Dublin Simon Community tenancy sustainment for seven years. Before that, I worked in substance misuse in a community setting.
I got introduced to Clann through my last role and got to see how niche the service that Clann Housing provides is.
I support the following Clann schemes – Lis Na Dara, Duiche Roden and Earl House. My interactions with residents have been positive and I’m looking forward to working in Clann housing going forward.
Josh Gibson
My name is Josh. I have joined Clann as a Scheme Manager, having worked as a property manager in the UK for nine years. I have a broad range of experience dealing with student lettings, professional tenants, and an investment portfolio for a large client. I look forward to meeting many of you at your different locations.
