Residents of Broome Lodge in Cabra, Dublin joined the first of 6 planned sign language lessons. Classes are beginner to start with until our new students become familiar with the basics. Lessons are being taught by Broome Lodge resident Karen, with the assistance of her carer.
There was strong interest in learning to sign and there was a good turnout with 5 residents attending the first lesson.
Feedback was very positive with those attending saying they learned a lot during the class, the pace of the lesson was good with lots of engagement, and it was very worthwhile.
