Our 30th anniversary celebrations

Clann, as part of Clúid, has a long history. Clúid was established in 1994 and we delivered our first homes the following year, in 1995. This year, 2025, marks the 30th anniversary of our first residents getting their keys and moving into their forever homes.

We are incredibly proud of all that we have achieved over the last 30 years – Clann and Clúid now have 32,000 residents in 12,800 homes. In 2024 we delivered a record 1,525 new homes. We have also supported our communities to grow and strengthen, worked to increase quality and reduce stigma around social housing and campaigned to bring positive change to the social and affordable housing sector, including the introduction of Cost Rental housing in Ireland.

With everything we have accomplished, we are always looking to the future – where will we be in another 30 years, how can we provide even more secure, high-quality homes for people in housing need, what can we do to make our homes and communities even better for all our residents?

We are marking our 30th anniversary by looking forward to the future. It is said that when you plant a tree, you plant hope. That is what we are doing – we are planting trees that will be enjoyed by generations of residents to come.

What is happening?

We have identified six schemes across the country where we will be planting individual trees or pocket forests to mark our 30th anniversary.

These six schemes are just the start. We will be expanding this project in the coming years, to create even more natural spaces for our residents to enjoy. We will also be supporting our residents to organise their own planting projects.
