Meet Clann Residents – Betty’s Art Classes
Betty O’Prey has been painting for many years and has several pictures hanging on the walls of Oriel Lodge. Betty painted a picture of the old Convent of Mercy, which is the site on which Oriel Lodge is built. During a coffee morning, fellow residents Ruth and Martina expressed an interest in painting. Betty agreed to facilitate a weekly art class in the activities room. They have been using acrylic paints on canvas. Ruth decided to paint a picture of the Kilconny Bridge in Belturbet, while Martina chose a picture of a deer. Betty also painted a photo from the Clann Four Season Competition.
We are warmed by such community spirit and talent in Oriel Lodge. Thank you Betty, Ruth and Martina for sharing your art with us.
