Launching Age-Friendly Tablets in Broome Lodge
Launching Age-Friendly Tablets in Broome Lodge
Earlier this year, Clann launched the roll-out of age-friendly tablets from Acorn. This event was held in Broome Lodge, Cabra, and attended by special guests, Housing Minister Darragh O’Brien and Dublin Lord Mayor, as well as many of our colleagues from Clann and Clúid. This event was made even more special by the attendance of the residents of Broome Lodge who provided all of us with lots of laughter, and Karin, a resident in Killarney Court, who provided a demonstration of how these tablets work.
Following the launch, Dublin Northwest Partnership provided a seven-week digital workshop in Broome Lodge, assisting residents with the use of the tablets. This has since been rolled in Ard na Solais, Dundalk, where Louth and Meath Education and Training Board delivered a six-week digital course.
This has been such a successful initiative that it is hoped that there will be age-friendly tablets available for use across all Clann schemes.
