Earlier in the week, a party of 6 personnel from COPE Galway visited St Joseph’s Court. The party was led by Jacquie Lynskey former CEO and currently Head of Senior Services with COPE Galway.
The visit stemmed from last year’s Positive Ageing Week Housing Hero Exhibition, which was organised by COPE and which featured Maura Cronin, a St Joseph’s Court resident.
Jacquie, Maura and Maureen Batley met at the exhibition and following a lively chat Jacquie decided that she would visit St Joseph’s Court when circumstances allowed. The group was welcomed by Deirdre O’Donnell and Maureen Batley and given a tour of the scheme which they greatly enjoyed.
The event was rounded off by a wonderful afternoon tea presided over by Maura Cronin and where the visitors got to mingle with St Joseph’s Court residents.
