Residents of Clann’s Broome Lodge scheme in Cabra, Dublin came together recently for their 2021 Summer Party which turned out to be a great event for all involved.

The fantastic Thomas Donnelly, brother of resident Theresa Raven, brought along his DJ equipment and kept everyone entertained with all the hits. The famous Clarkes Bakery supplied delicious food for the residents to enjoy, Noel Clarke even came down to help set everything up.

We had over 25 residents attended the party, with others dropping in to say their hello’s. All those who attended commented that they felt the party was a great success. Also in attendance were three representatives from Fingal County Council, they dropped by to see a Clann Scheme at work. They took a tour of the building, grounds, and communal areas. Immediate feedback from the Fingal representatives was very positive, they were extremely impressed at the level and standard of social engagement being offered by Clann to residents.

Some residents led the preparations ahead of the event by cleaning and power washing the courtyard, while others got involved on the day by hanging decorations, bunting, and serving food to those residents who needed some assistance.

This year’s summer party was a great success with very positive feedback from all who attended. Everyone is already looking forward to the next event.
