In response to resident feedback, a new FREE phone number has been introduced for the Housing Advice Centre to help reduce the cost burden for Clann callers. Residents had expressed concern about the financial impact of managing household bills, including phone charges when seeking housing support.
Effective immediately, Clann residents can contact the Housing Advice Centre on 1800 707 224 — a number that is free to call from any Irish mobile or landline. The existing number, 01 707 2244, will remain operational at the standard rate and is available for those calling from outside of Ireland.
The initiative was introduced following direct engagement with residents who highlighted the issue during recent consultations.
“Residents told us that the cost of calling the Housing Advice Centre was contributing to their financial pressures,” said Clare Doyle, Resident Engagement and Insights Manager. “We listened carefully, and setting up a freephone number was a practical step we could take to ease some of that burden. It’s part of our commitment to responding meaningfully to residents’ concerns.”
This change is part of a broader approach to improve resident services and make support more accessible and affordable.
“We want everyone to have a great place to live. We have just recently launched our new Resident Engagement Strategy outlining our vision for how we listen, involve, and work together with residents to shape our services. By working in partnership with our residents, we can find real, everyday solutions that make a difference in people’s lives.”
Clann encourages residents to use the new freephone number and to continue sharing their feedback to help shape better services for all.
